Department Information
Mormon Lake Fire District is 25 miles southeast of Flagstaff, Arizona, in the middle of the Coconino National Forest. We run about 100 calls per year, 90 of which are EMS. Mormon Lake Fire District provides the first response to 911 calls and turns over patient care to Guardian Medical Transport for ground transportation. Our department was founded in 1989 as a volunteer department and recently upgraded our service model to all-hazards.
Our fire station houses one transport-capable rescue, 2 type-6 brush engines, one type-1 structure engine, two type-3 tactical tenders, 1 Polaris ranger, and one snowmobile. We have part-time firefighters, EMT and Paramedics. Paramedics run 2-3 shifts monthly or every other month, depending on availability.
If you are looking for a great part-time opportunity to get out of the heat and relax, this department is a great place to do so.
